Drought Conditions 2025

The San Gorgonio Pass Regional Water Alliance recognizes the serious impacts of ongoing drought conditions across California, especially those affecting the San Gorgonio Pass region. Drought places added pressure on local water resources, making careful planning and coordination among agencies essential.

According to meteorologists at AccuWeather, California is expected to remain free of widespread drought through at least 2025, thanks in large part to the heavy rain and snow in the winters of 2022 and 2023 and continued strong precipitation patterns. Several key reservoirs are near or above their historical averages, which improves the region’s water supply outlook in the short term. Even with this positive outlook, the Alliance encourages conservation and supports long-term strategies, including effective groundwater management, investment in recycled water, and securing reliable imported supply, to ensure resilience against future dry spells.
